The new “world class” Grant Park skate park opened last Saturday, and it was an instant hit.
If you were anywhere in the vicinity you saw a stream of mostly teens and tweens headed for the park on their boards, bikes and blades. Once you arrived at the park you had to marvel at how quickly a crowd of onlookers gathered to watch the action.
Residents at Park Michigan and Astoria Tower, two luxury apartment towers near the new park, shouldn’t be surprised if they suddenly become popular with their younger relatives. With any luck their visitors will have the skills on display in the above video.
