St. Lawrence on the Park sales center open

Morhyne Development has opened a sales center and vignette model for St. Lawrence on the Park, a new development of 19 luxury condos planned for 5050 S. St. Lawrence, in Washington Park. The sales center and model are located on the second floor of the Hyde Park Co-op Market, 1300 E. 47th.
Morhyne is hoping to find a niche among empty nesters and others who want high-end finishes in a city location that’s more affordable than comparable North Side spots.

“St. Lawrence on the Park is an exceptional luxury condominium with all the amenities that urban home buyers covet,” said developer Joyce Moran, president of Morhyne Development Co., LLC.

Pre-construction base prices range from the $230s for a one-bedroom condo to the $420s for four-bedroom units. Architects Bauhs Dring Seglin Main, Ltd. designed the project as a five-story mid-rise elevator building with salmon and brown face brick and a limestone and concrete façade accented with metal balcony railings. The development has a fitness center and a roof deck with a walking track.

Standard flooring at St. Lawrence on the Park includes oak and maple hardwood, berber carpeting and ceramic tile, though buyers can upgrade to ash and bamboo hardwood, premium ceramic tile, granite and marble.

“With the floors, various finishing sheens are available,” said Cynthia Liberty, of Century 21 Dabbs South, sales agent for the development. “You can upgrade to a soft sheen, a heavy sheen-whatever type of glaze and finish you would like.”

Other unit features include Kenmore Elite stainless-steel appliances, Jacuzzi tubs, separate showers with multiple jets, recessed lighting per plan, granite or Corian counters, ceramic baths and washer and dryer hookups.
