A line of shoppers began forming at 7 AM for the 9 o’clock opening of the new Streeterville Whole Foods, a block from the luxury Atwater apartment tower.
At 1:30 in the afternoon on Wednesday, opening day, the 50,000 square foot store remained crowded.
The Whole Foods opening adds to the appeal of Atwater’s convenient location. Despite being only six years old, Atwater is updating a number of its apartments.
The one-bedroom Unit 3506, pictured above, has new plank flooring throughout the living and bedroom areas. The kitchen has new cabinets, designer hardware, white quartz countertops and an under-mount sink. The bath has also been updated. The apartment has an in-unit washer / dryer, and floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony with spectacular east views toward the lake.
Renters who apply within 48 hours of their first visit will have the $450 admin fee credited toward their first month’s rent on a vacant apartment. Bargain-priced parking of $225 per month is available to Atwater residents in the on-site garage.

I love the quality of apartment and condo reviews provided by YoChicago, BUT lately everrrrrry three or forth article or video is Atwater!!! They have reallly bad reviews on Yelp 2.5 stars. YoChicago should give a genuine unbiased review on them, not promote them all over the site in every 3 or 4th article just because they pay good advertising.

I questioned whether I should allow your comment to be made public since it paints a dishonest picture of what anyone can clearly see at YoChicago and at Yelp and is posted by someone with a phony name and phony email address.
We post clearly labeled “sponsored posts” weekly on Atwater (formerly Streeter Place) as part of an advertising program – not every 3rd or 4th post.
I’d invite people to read the reviews at Yelp rather than taking your misleading word for what they say.
For starters, the most recent reviews are from June of last year – one 4-star and one 1-star. The 1-star review is from someone who was unhappy that they were being asked to honor the lease terms that they agreed to.
The older negative reviews on Yelp predated the current management. New management has been overseeing a number of improvements to the building and the apartments. From everything I’ve seen and heard they are professional and service-oriented.
YoChicago will not accept an advertiser that runs a bad operation or treats consumers unfairly. We just won’t. Our reviews are objective and unbiased to the best of our ability.
