Sunrise Development Group, the developer behind the Pure condos planned for the West Loop, has another project in the works: 2215 Madison, located in the West Haven section of the Near West Side. The modern building, designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture, will have 52 one- and two-bedroom condos (some with dens) with maple cabinetry, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, ceiling heights of at least 10 feet, and private balconies or terraces. The building also will have first-floor retail space fronting Madison Street. Prices start in the $200s (parking is an additional $18,000), and the development is about 30 percent sold.

I think this project is really going to spawn more development west of the United Center and hopefully create a more desireable neighborhood around the stadium like a Wrigleyville area…Of course this would be years and years down the road but it’s a start.
