Lincoln Park

Cue the Sesame Street music: “One of these things is not like the other.” We saw shades of David and Goliath in these two houses, on Wrightwood Avenue in the northwest corner of Lincoln Park. We’re rooting for David. How about you?

  • There, in a nutshell, is everything that’s been wrong with turn-of-the-millennium design…right next to something that was exactly right for early to mid 20th century needs.

  • Yes, of course people’s housing needs change from decade to decade, century to century.However, there are ways for builders/architects to take those needs into account and create a thing of beauty, whether a modest single-family bungalow or an extravagant mansion (such as found in the Gold Coast), or…not.
