It’s a little out of the way for city folks, but on April 17 and 18, Tin Fish restaurant is offering “Tax Day” dining deals, consisting of the “1099” (A grilled 8-ounce flat iron steak with fried potatoes and garlic-herb butter, and a glass of House merlot for $10.99), and the “1040” (A crab and shrimp-stuffed Costa Rican tilapia with sauteed vegetables, and creole mustard hollandaise sauce, with a glass of House chardonnay for $10.40).
This food is not just cheap — it’s also good. Tin Fish is a nice restaurant with good food. The only catch? Tin Fish’s two locations are both a hike: 17W512 22nd St., Oakbrook Terrace (630-279-0808); and 18201 S. Harlem Ave., Tinley Park (708-532-0200).
