It may not look like much, but State Street between Walton Place and Delaware Place is the busiest stretch of Chicago’s River North neighborhood, if not the whole city. Why? Because a total of 810 condos is coming to these sites on opposite sides of State. On the west, Walton on the Park delivers a whopping 450 condos in two towers. On the southeast, the buildings that were on the site of Ten East Delaware have been demolished, and, since developer Prime Group’s $96 million loan recently came through, we’re sure construction work will be speeding along. The 239-unit Elysian is under construction at the northeast corner, and, while it’s pretty well blocked off, we could see that foundation work is pretty far along.
