The short-lived Irish traditional music session on Sundays at The Atlantic Bar & Grill, 5062 N. Lincoln Ave. (773-506-7090), has been shelved for the remainder of January, which usually means it has been shelved forever, or at least indefinitely. Session, we hardly knew ye.
In a related death, the longstanding Wednesday night session at The Grafton, 4530 N. Lincoln Ave. (773-271-9000), also has been put to rest. Irish traditional music sessions in Lincoln Square, where have ye gone?

Yep, the Sunday session at the Grafton is still going strong. I’m currently suffering withdrawal because of the Wednesday session’s cancellation, though.
Two months of rehearsal time for these bands…then they’ll be back in full force on St. Paddy’s Day!
