Five years ago we reported that 24 one-bedroom “lofty” condos were for sale at 5427 N Broadway in a development called Broadway Village Lofts. The building had been the site of an industrial laundry / dry cleaning plant.

We followed up in May of 2008, reporting that 10 of the 24 units were still available, priced from the $220s to the $250s.

The development, of course, quietly slipped into the deadpool and was never completed.

  • No better use of your time than pointless snarking, pedro?

The post is typical of the “five years later” posts we do often.

Spent most of the day shooting photos from a helicopter and isolating a few to post.

There’s plenty of news – and you’ll find it linked from our Chicago Real Estate News page. If you’d like it rewritten with a dose of attitude rather than linked – there are other Chicago sites where you can find that.

  • So any word on what is happening with this building? They really took too long to bring it to market back in the day.
