Not since the Peninsula arrived close to five years ago has there been so much high-end hotel buzz in dowtown Chicago. Trump Tower is starting to actually take shape on the River, and Asian hoteliers Shangri-La and Mandarin Oriental have announced plans to open up shop here, too.
Makes you wonder how long a Ho-Jo’s can survive in River North.
