Although the building is less than half a dozen years old, Echelon at K Station has undergone a recent makeover with a change of ownership.
Some of the more visible changes include an expanded and revamped amenities package. The large lap pool and sundeck have expanded seating, cabanas and a fire pit. The lobby is becoming sleeker, the extensive lounge areas more attractive. New grills are slated for an outdoor patio.
There’s a park with a playground and dog area adjacent to Echelon that hosts Movies in the Park in the summer.
Neighborhood amenities are also blossoming, with recent additions to the already robust dining and nightlife scene. Major pluses include what may be the city’s best Jewel-Osco directly across the street and a CTA Blue Line stop two short blocks away.
