Six North Michigan began life in 1899 as the headquarters for the Montgomery Ward company. Today crews are completing work on a full gut rehab and conversion of the 19-story tower. The building is located on Michigan Avenue, across from Millennium Park’s Cloud Gate and Pritzker Pavilion, and its top-floor penthouse — which features two rooftop decks and balconies facing three directions — overlooks all of the park’s activity.
Joe Askins of YoChicago.com and NewHomeNotebook.com met sales agent George Schultz of @properties at Six North Michigan in May 2009 to take a look at the building’s condos and amenities. They started in the penthouse’s observation room, a space George calls “The Ballroom.”
