Townhome developments are a major presence in Lincoln Park, more so than in any other Chicago neighborhood. The popularity of the neighborhood, together with its relatively low-density zoning, spurred strong demand for more alternatives to pricey single-family homes.
The townhome boom that began in the 60s came to a virtual halt in the mid-90s as the supply of buildable parcels was exhausted. One of the last major developments, in one of Lincoln Park’s most desirable locations, is The Pointe. The Pointe, at the six-corner intersection of Lincoln, Armitage and Sedgwick, was built on the site of the former Augustana hospital.
Nicholas Apostal of Coldwell Banker’s Apostal Group, which has sold a number of the townhomes at The Pointe, outlines the development in this sponsored video.
