Renting a condo is not like renting an apartment. You’re likely to encounter a range of unexpected fees, delays and restrictive policies, some of which may even come as surprises to the condo owner / landlord.

If you’ve found a condo you want to rent, don’t deliver a deposit check until you’ve seen and understood exactly what your costs will be and what hoops you’ll have to jump through before moving in.
