Our earlier posts spotlighted the South Loop apartment buildings with the best views, most convenient grocery shopping and best access to public transit and parks and beaches.
The Regal, two blocks from the Congress Pkwy interchange, has the best South Loop access to the expressway grid. Congress has direct connections to I-90/94 and I-290. The Regal is the only South Loop building that lacks on-site parking.
The LEX has the quickest access to the Stevenson Expressway, I-55.
Access to the city’s expressways is theoretically direct via Roosevelt Road but can be grindingly slow at peak hours due to congestion from the retail cluster on Roosevelt.
