Against the backdrop of the current craze for condos (we count close to a dozen new condo towers in Streeterville alone), The Streeter, a new-construction rental high-rise at 345 E Ohio St, is a rare addition to Chicago’s housing market. The modern glass tower, scheduled to open this summer, has units ranging from studios with one bathroom to three-bedrooms with dens and three bathrooms. (Studio floor plan pictured at left.)

The building will have a library, cyber cafe, business center, fitness center, basketball room, party room, indoor pool, outdoor pool, sauna…The list goes on and on. Still, of all the tags that might be used to describe a fully-loaded building in bustling Streeterville, we can’t help thinking that “Uncommonly Convenient” seems a bit tepid. Maybe the copywriters were cut to pay for the media room. Our suggestion: “the lifestyle Cap fought for.”
