I visited The LEX, 2138 S Indiana, last Friday for a first look at the building’s spacious deck. The landscaped deck has an outdoor pool, a whirlpool, a large dog run, grassy areas and a shaded area with BBQ grills.

In the meantime, join me on a 28th floor balcony for a look at the dramatic views to the north, and a close-up look at Soldier Field and a part of Northerly Island.
The long blue lines of porta potties in the second photo were awaiting the July 4th Dave Matthews Band concert and brought to mind a previous visit to Chicago by the band.
