The views from Hubbard Place

Construction of the 43-story Hubbard Place, 360 W Hubbard in River North, had advanced to the 38th floor when I visited late last week. Formwork for the concrete pours obstructed the views above the 32nd floor, so that was my vantage point for these views.

The views in all directions were terrific, despite the overcast sky and hazy conditions. What I saw wasn’t representative of the best views that the building will offer from its higher floors and from the units with balconies and bay windows. The balconies and bays, together with the siting of the tower on a southeast / northwest axis, will afford spectacular views along the river from the west side of the building, and of the Loop and lakefront skyline from the east side.

Hubbard Place’s website has occupancy of the luxury apartment tower slated for October 2013, but construction is on a pace that may permit occupancy of some of the apartments in September.

Many thanks to Habitat‘s Tom Black for providing access to the views.
