The world's first community association thriller novel

This might be old news to avid fans of both thriller novels and community associations, but we just stumbled across Special Assessment, real estate lawyer Marvin J. Nodiff’s 2002 novel, published by the Community Associations Institute. Throughout the book, attorney Joshua Fyler and community manager Michelle Gratiot track down a nefarious, power-mad condo board president, and maybe, just maybe, fall in love, en route to solving the mysterious disappearance of association funds. Check out a sample chapter here. For those of you who have read this tome, let us know if the rest of the book keeps up with the first sentence: “Wearing latex gloves at the keyboard was a tedious affair.”
