155 North Aberdeen's sales nearing halfway point

Click to enlargeThere’s not much going on at 155 N Aberdeen St (the future home of a 12-home luxury development of the same name), but the project is about half-sold, according to a sign planted on the corner of Randolph and Aberdeen streets.

A sharp rendering, courtesy of Studio Dwell Architects, accompanied the project’s announcement last summer, when Yo counted 155 North Aberdeen among a handful of new projects in the West Loop.

We were quite taken with development’s design, which called for natural cedar and gray slate for the exterior. A quick browse through the list of features for each home uncovers a few more interesting tidbits, including what appear to be 23-foot great-room ceilings in the duplex units.

Initial predictions suggested construction would start last year, with deliveries ready this summer. Judging from the photo at the top (featuring the former home of Mart Anthony’s Italian Restaurant), that timetable may need a little revision.

Three condos are listed on Elizabeth August‘s Web site; prices range from the $470s to the $790s.
