Today’s real estate must-read is David Roeder

Yesterday we called attention to a truly awful piece piece by a Sun-Times columnist, so it’s only fair to note that another Sun-Times columnist is a generally a must-read if you want to know what’s happening in Chicago real estate.

David Roeder’s latest column serves up intelligent and informative updates on three projects – a proposed high-rise apartment / retail complex at 3750 N Halsted St, the ongoing saga of Draper and Kramer’s Lake Shore Drive parking lot, and the recently-opened Hairpin Lofts.

I’ll be shooting video with the developer at Hairpin Lofts on Friday and will post an update.
