With Hanukkah and Christmas right around the corner, people often consider this a hibernation period for the real estate market, but I met one agent who was making the most of the holiday season. Armando Chacon of Century 21 SGR threw a combination Christmas party / open house last night at 100 S Sangamon St in the West Loop in hopes of selling off the building’s only unsold unit. Chacon lives on the building’s first floor, and guests were welcome to trek up to the condo between drinks.
The 1,850 square-foot three-bedroom / two-bath home is priced in the $590s. The rest of the building’s homes sold from the $550s to the $700s and closed in September and October.
