Tribune names Chicago area's ugliest buildings

Clark Place

The Chicago Tribune, with help of its readers’ nominations, has compiled a list of a dozen buildings deemed to be the area’s ugliest. Clark Place (pictured), the high-rise at 2625 N Clark St that recently converted to 133 condos, makes it onto the list. Others include the rickety Metra station that serves the Museum Campus and the Allstate Arena in Rosemont. Seems like the category is a little too broad to really allow for all the “edifice wrecks” mucking up this city’s fine architectural legacy. What city high-rises would you add to the list? Personally, I lose my appetite driving home past Granville Tower every day (witness the horror inside).
