One of the videos YouTube recommends for us this afternoon — perhaps because of our own videos with Habitat Company President / CEO Mark Segal — is this speech by former Habitat head and current Senior Advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett at the inaugural meeting of the Institute for Comprehensive Community Development in Washington, DC last week. The Institute “was established to advance the field of comprehensive community development and the positive impact it has in urban and rural communities across the country,” according to its website.
Here, Jarrett discusses some of her experiences in Chicago development, both as a planning commissioner and Habitat CEO.
