Video tours – the South Loop’s new Library Lofts

Library Lofts, 619 S LaSalle St, is in the landmark South Loop Printing House District. The Holabird & Roche-designed building dates to the early 1900s, and has just undergone a complete make-over into luxury loft apartments.

The renovation retained and restored elements of the original construction, including elaborate terra cotta and brick work, mosaic tile flooring and a striking elevator cage.

Studio, 1- and 2-bedroom, 2-bath lofts have soaring tile-arch vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, in-unit washer / dryers, and upscale kitchen and bath finishes. Available Studios start at $1,650 a month, 1-bedrooms at $1,995, and 2-bedroom, 2-baths at $2,570. Floor plans and near real-time rent and availability info are online.

Library Lofts is a short walk from the Metra Rock Island Line, the CTA Blue Line, and a 5-minute walk from the Red Line stop at Harrison. Printers Row bars and restaurants are nearby. College and university campuses are a few minutes’ walk away.
