Vision: Back on track in Wicker Park?

Just when I was ready to sweep RDM Development‘s Vision into the dustbunny bin along with the company’s still-empty Trio tower, along comes Jameson agent David Mahoney with a Friday morning surprise: a new listing!

Unit #201, a three-bedroom / two-bath with 1,712 square feet (floor plan at bottom), is the first home Mahoney has listed at the Wicker Park development since taking over its marketing early this year. “THIS ONE WILL ‘WOW’ YOU,” the listing cries before running down a laundry list of “top notch finishes”: wide-plank hardwood floors, Liebherr, Wolf, and Fisher & Paykel appliances, and Grohe fixtures. This particular unit appears to be finished already, based on the photographs accompanying Mahoney’s listing (you can see a few above and below), but I also gather that RDM is still offering two different design packages for Vision’s homes — the modern “Urbanite” and the luxury / traditional “Luxe.”

The condo is priced in the $580s, a price point that represents the peak of Vision’s price range at the time of its announcement in late 2007. The 01 tier doesn’t represent the development’s largest offerings, however, so it’ll be interesting to see if prices here actually go up across the board.

RDM broke ground at 1624 W Division St 20 months ago, and unless work has really picked up at the development since I last walked past (probably a month ago now), it’s safe to say that there’s still plenty of work to be done before the whole building’s finished and ready for occupancy. Its 18 two-bedroom / two-bath homes are slated to have 1,336 to 1,639 square feet, while its 15 three-bedroom / two-baths will range in size from 1,556 to 2,034 square feet.
