Many people begin their apartment hunt with a list of “must haves,” only to learn that some of the items on it can’t be found in the marketplace.
That list might include, for example, a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment in River North where one of the baths has a stall shower.
All of the major River North apartment buildings have their floor plans online, and all of them are linked from YoChicago’s Near North at-a-glance apartment list and map.
We took a few minutes to determine that only two River North buildings have 2/2 units with a stall shower: Flair Tower and Parc Huron. The stall shower is in the guest / hall bath at Flair Tower, and in the master bath – which also has a tub – at Parc Huron. You should expect to pay upwards of $3,000 a month for one of those apartments.

I posted on the yorents.com site but nobody contacted me. So I went to padmapper.com, domu.com, and craigslist. Far more activity going on these sites. Even if it takes a little while to scan through, it’s worth a shot in the dark than just waiting in the dark for the right landlord to find you. I also found it useful to bike around the neighborhoods and looking out for ‘for rent’ signs.
they usually don’t put up the rent price, but quick phone call you should be able to find out.
Amazing how often padmapper gets touted online – almost as if they were paying someone to do it.
