Trump gets all the press and the Spire has all the hype, but let’s not forget about Waterview Tower, which, at 90 stories, will end up as one of the tallest buildings in Chicago. Unlike the bulkier Trump Tower, which reaches only two stories higher, Waterview is razor-thin by supertall standards. We’ve been watching that tiny footprint for more than a year now, waiting for the budding new skyscraper to peek above ground, and we’re happy to report that it is finally a few floors off the ground. Developer Teng & Associates reports that sales have topped 60 percent at the development, which also includes the Shangri-La Hotel. Prices range from the $600s to $7.5 million.
