Last week I checked in with the three tallest towers under construction to get the specs on their highest available homes. As promised, here are the details about the next three high-rises on our list, The Enterprise Companies‘ two One Museum Park towers at Central Station, and The Elysian Hotels & Private Residences in the Gold Coast.
The Elysian’s unit stands out as the largest and most expensive of the three, which fits with its ritzy address. It has a higher price per square foot than any unit save Trump‘s 80th-floor penthouse, but it’s significantly smaller than that unit and slightly smaller than the two 70th-floor units at The Legacy at Millennium Park. It’s 49th-floor location is lower than any of the others we’ve profiled, but as we’ve heard sales agents say before, anyone buying for a view is better off looking in the South Loop.
Speaking of the South Loop, buyers can still find a home with northern and eastern views near the top of both One Museum Park towers for $2.14 million or less. At $713 to $812 per square foot, the homes carry a smaller price tag for floor space than any of the six tallest towers except for Aqua. Unlike that building’s highest available unit, One Museum Park’s penthouses have unobstructed views to the lake and nearby parks, as you can see from the image above.
