West Town isn’t quite as fat with condo conversions as Lake View or Lincoln Park, but we spotted some new ones here and there on a recent ride through the area. We’ve already told you about The Baer Lofts in Bucktown and 1735 West Division in Wicker Park, but we also found this great vintage building at 1801 W Huron St (pictured) in East Village. The three-story brick building has some amazing stone detailing and arched windows and doorways. Rehabbed condos have two or three bedrooms, exposed brick, tin ceilings and hardwood floors. Prices start in the $350s.

Just down the street at 1517 W Ohio St (pictured left) is a conversion with six gut-rehabbed condos. The simplex and duplex units have one or two bedrooms, and prices range from the $230s to the $310s. Over in Ukrainian Village, Regent Realty Group has Place Erie, a six-unit building with two-bedroom rehabbed condos. Prices start in the $240s.

Those balconies look so out of place.
In the first picture, I don’t like the first floor. It looks cheap with the doors and windows bricked up. Its a shame that they didn’t permit retail.
these prices are insane
