Brinshore Development and the Michaels Development Company have opened a furnished apartment model at the 155-unit rental phase of Westhaven Park, a new mixed-income community underway just west of Ashland Avenue on the Near West Side.
The 26-acre project two blocks north of the United Center includes a 15-building rental apartment phase and 328 for-sale units in mid-rises and walk-up “city flats.”
Unlike many developers who showcase the top units in models, this apartment is comparatively small. The model, located at 2245 W. Maypole, has two bedrooms, one bath and 858 square feet, according to leasing agent Ramona Woodards.
“This was the smallest of them all,” Woodards said. “We wanted to show how you could work with the units, where you could put this or that. We wanted everybody to see just how workable the spaces can be, how much can be done.”
