What Buena Park residents like about their neighborhood

A recent post at Reddit invited Buena Park residents to share their take on the neighborhood, and they did.

Buena Park is in the southeast corner of Uptown, just north of Lakeview. It’s bordered on the south by Irving Park Rd (4000 N), on the north by Montrose Ave (4400 N), on the east by Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan, and on the west by Graceland Cemetery. Almost all of the neighborhood is part of the Buena Park Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

When you visit Buena Park you’ll see distinctive place markers with Uptown in the Bradway typeface, a playful reference to Broadway St, the neighborhood’s main north-south artery.

Check out the aerial view of the southern part of Buena Park at the top of this post and you’ll get a quick fix on one of its attractions: it’s a leafy, largely residential neighborhood close to Lakeview’s dynamism but quieter and much less dense. Express buses along Marine Dr are close by and the CTA Red Line stop at Sheridan is a short walk away.

You can find beautifully renovated apartments in Buena Park at three Reside Living communities: Reside on Clarendon, Reside at 823 and Reside at 849. The Bar on Buena and North Buena Deli & Wine, are steps from 823 and 849, and Dollop Coffee Co is across the street from Clarendon.

If you want to be closer to Lakeview’s attractions, Reside also has renovated courtyard buildings on the border between Lakeview and Buena Park: Irving Courts and Reside on Irving Park. Reside has 11 additional Lakeview communities you might consider.

Visit the Buena Park Neighbors site to learn more about the neighborhood. Visit the Services page at Reside Living for a peek at some of the extras you’ll love about living in a Reside community.
