Where are YoChicago readers looking to rent?

It was John Battelle who first tagged the information gathered by Google search as a “database of intentions,” and it seems an apt meme.

Here, in order, are the most-viewed YoChicago Rental guides since the first of the year:

• Lincoln Park
• Gold Coast
• South Loop
• River North
• Streeterville
• West Loop and near west
• Loop / New East Side

There were 50% more page views for Lincoln Park than for the Gold Coast. The Lincoln Park Guide was viewed twice as often as the South Loop and River North Guides, and more than three times as often as the Streeterville, West Loop and Loop Guides.

Are the page views for our Guides a good reflection of Chicagoans’ neighborhood preferences?
