Where will Chicago put all those people?

The Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission (NIPC) predicts that Chicago’s population will grow by over 360,000 between 2000 and 2030. NIPC’s population growth forecast is based on projected employment growth of nearly a quarter-million jobs. The fastest-growing population segment is projected in the 25 to 34-year old segment.

If NIPC’s predictions are correct, these numbers have profound implications for city neighborhoods.

Post a comment with your guess as to which neighborhoods will see the most growth over the next 25 years.
