Why Matt and Fernando bought in the South Loop at 1345 Wabash

Matt and Fernando are among the newest homeowners at 1345 Wabash, the South Loop’s newest condo community, where 1-bedrooms start at $229,900 and 2-bedrooms at $289,900.

We asked Matt and Feranndo a few questions about their purchase.

Why 1345 Wabash?

We were struck by three major things. 1. High quality construction. 2. An environmentally sustainable location. 3. An amazing location (access to shopping, the lake, the “L,” freeways, and good restaurants) all within our budget.

What do you like about the South Loop?

Having lived in Los Angeles and Milwaukee, we are familiar with doing research to see which neighborhoods are attractive to us.

We learned (and have experienced) that the South Loop is a very active, safe and diverse community. It has all the amenities that we value. These include great access to public transportation, shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and proximity to the lake. We are also excited to take our dog “Taters” to the dog park and museum campus that are both nearby.

What were the deciding factors?

The biggest deciding factor for us wanting to buy at 1345 Wabash is the location. The building has easy access to the Red, Green, and Orange train lines, as well as close proximity to the Interstate.

Grocery stores and restaurants are all very close as well, which is a big advantage in Chicago winters! In addition, we value the LEED certification that the building has earned.

The 1345 Wabash sales center is open daily on-site, and furnished models are available for viewing.
