Winnetka teardown pace slower, but continuing

Only 13 demolition permits were requested in Winnetka from December 2009 to mid-July 2010, the most recent data available online.

The pace of teardowns is slower than it was several years back, but the phenomenon is likely to continue, spurred by lower land prices and construction costs.
