This summer, as construction on Lakeshore East‘s Chandler began to get off the ground, we wondered what buyers at both the 35-story Chandler and its 44-story neighbor, the sold-out Regatta, would think about the close proximity of the two high-rises. Now that construction on the Chandler is approaching the 30th story, we can get a better idea of how the two buildings will relate. The Chandler is shaping up to be a bit more slender than the rendering makes it look, so it thankfully doesn’t obscure The Regatta’s interesting sail-like curve. Still, if residents in the two buildings wanted to string clotheslines between their windows, they could probably pull it off.
A rental high-rise, The Tides, and 340 on the Park are also under construction at Lakeshore East. The Chandler has 304 condos priced from the $550s to $1.4 million, and the sales center is located at 375 E Wacker Dr.
