Check out part II of our tour of the “Wrightwood Neighbors” section of Lincoln Park, aka West DePaul, hosted by real estate agent and ChiTownLiving blogger Jeff Kerr. The tour starts at a playlot branded with a name familiar to anyone in Chicago real estate and moves on to a discussion of $750,000 teardowns – a common phenomenon in the neighborhood.

the observation that single family and 2 flat frame houses are being torn down and replaced with 3 and 4 unit buildings is numbing…
…but I am 100% in agreement that getting involved with your local playlot/park is the way to go, kudos for that.
Tear down a classic old home to put up a bland looking, cheaply built concrete box. What a great idea! But hey, at least it has granite countertops.
Yes, numbing indeed. I live in a frame home and have come to the sad conclusion that it will be torn down some day.
