Parc Huron disappears from Lennar Web site

Parc Huron, 469 W Huron StLost in all of last week’s comments about sponsored posts and Wrigleyville construction was Kevin Walters’ tip about our River North neighbor, Parc Huron.

Kevin pointed out that Lennar had removed all mention of the 21-story high-rise at 469 W Huron St from its Web site. I checked around the Lennar site last week, and sure enough, I couldn’t find a thing on there about the tower.

The sales center, which had been open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., was not open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. The center’s phone number was disconnected, and an open drop-box by the center’s front door was overflowing with unchecked mail. Someone did take in a bundle of April New Homes magazines, however – I could see them on the sales center floor through the building’s glass door.

Our last report on Parc Huron listed prices starting in the $300s for a one-bedroom condo and topping out near $740,000 for a three-bedroom model.

I haven’t reached a representative from Lennar’s Hoffman Estates office, so I can’t confirm Kevin’s claim that deposits are going back out to investors. However, a sales agent at Lennar’s Library Tower said Friday that the Parc Huron is indeed “on hold.” Library Tower, on the other hand, has passed the 70-percent sales mark and should begin deliveries next month.
