Few two-bedrooms remain at 1401 South State

After visiting Echelon at K Station, Joe and I headed to the South Loop to check out another Lincoln Property Company rental building at 1401 S State St. The 22-story, 278-unit building was completed last year as well, and is around 80 percent leased.

According to the development’s Web site, only five of the two-bedroom / two-bath units in the building remain. But there are still 12 one-bedroom / one-bath units available, and they come with a one-month free rent special that can be used either up-front or prorated for the entire 12-month lease.

Going with a more urban look than Echelon, you’ll see that 1401 South State’s units come with exposed concrete walls and ceilings, as well as windows that run from floor to ceiling.

Rents for the one-bedroom / one-bath units, which span from 614 to 819 square feet, range from $1,450 to $1,595.

Two-bedroom / two-bath units with 1,034 to 1,556 square feet are priced from $2,085 to $3,025.

Amenities include a private resident park to the north, a fitness center, social room and Internet cafe, as well as a fourth-floor garden terrace with outdoor fire pit and barbecue grills. The building is also just two blocks south of the Roosevelt train station that services the Orange, Red and Green Lines.
