In retrospect, maybe the prospect of living next to Sexy Rexy wasn’t the promotional perk that Trump was looking for. But what about holding your condo association meetings with a bona fide Blackhawk?
According to Chicago Magazine‘s Dennis Rodkin, defenseman Cam Barker just hooked the last fourth-floor unit at Urban Sandbox, Ranquist Development‘s Miller Hull-designed condos at 1615 N Wolcott Ave in Bucktown. That means there’s just one home left in the building: unit #201, a 1,565 square-foot three-bedroom / two-bath priced in the $640s.
The home (seen in a floor plan at bottom) has 10-foot ceiling heights, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a 24 x 6′ terrace, and has been finished with Arclinea kitchen cabinets, Sub-Zero and Miele appliances, Ann Sacks tile, and Hansgrohe and Duravit bath fixtures. Heated garage parking is available for $19,800.
Barker got his place for 21 percent off the original list price, Rodkin says. Unit #201 is currently listed about 10 percent below its original price of $719,800 — will that be enough to move the Sandbox into closeout?
