With a wall of condo towers ringing an expansive park and a circular drive lined with retail space, and with a new grocery store and grade school on the horizon, it’s easy to think of Magellan Development’s Lakeshore East mega-development as a small “city within a city.” Joe Askins rode along on one of the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s river cruises in early July 2009 and filmed some footage of the development, including the new condo / rental tower, Aqua.
