Wilmette’s historic CAGE neighborhood takes its name from four streets: Chestnut, Ashland, Greenwood and Elmwood Avenues.
The CAGE has stately old homes on lots with deep setbacks, lush landscaping and a dense tree canopy, all set on brick streets.
For my money, I’d take a resale in the CAGE over new construction in West Wilmette any day, even though I’d be buying a smaller home for the price.
