A room with a view at McKinley Park Lofts

So yesterday we visited McKinley Park Lofts, that new Habitat Company project at Pershing Road and Western Avenue. This project is one of a handful of loft, townhome and condo developments that are getting underway in McKinley Park, and some folks hope that these developments will spur revitalization of a neighborhood that’s looking pretty dreary. (Much more on this in coming posts.)

The units on the upper floors of McKinley Park have pretty views of the eponymous park but this particular unit has more, shall we say “gritty views,” of the CTA line, a freight line and a busy intersection. Have to say however, that the sound attenuation in this development is impressive. Several trains and gazillions of cars went by while we were there and we hardly heard anything. Honest. I was surprised.
