Looking at the floor plans at The Woodlands, a new development at 3243 S Cottage Grove, in Groveland Park, it feels like we’re back in the third grade, when our teacher tried to tactfully segregate ability levels and named the reading groups after birds. Colors would have probably been a smarter call, as it’s clear even to an eight-year-old that eagles can beat up bluejays any day. Drawing on its woodsy name (or creating an inter-condo pecking order), The Woodlands has named its four floor plans the Bluejay (one-bedroom one-bathroom units with 840 square feet), the Cardinal (two-bedroom two-bathroom units with 1,039 square feet), the Robin (two-bedroom two-bathroom units with 1,178 square feet) and the Eagle (three-bedroom 2.5-bathroom units with 1,145 square feet). Prices start in the $130s.
