Victory Gardens Theatre is closing in on its grand opening of the restored Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave, in Lincoln Park.
To pre-celebrate the impending hooplah, Victory Gardens is offering a free sneak peek at the new, $11.3 million Victory Gardens Theater at the Biograph during a free community celebration and open house, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10 from noon to 5 p.m.
You — yes, you — can be among the first people to sit in the new 299-seat mainstage theater. You can also tour the new backstage facilities, watch scenes from the Biograph’s upcoming season (2:45 and 4 p.m. both days), and sit in on a playwrights panel (1:15 p.m. both days).
