Friday’s Chicago Reader accounced that all housing classifieds – homes for rent, homes for sale and housing to share – would now be listed in the back of section I, while other categories, including help wanted, would be moved to the back of section II. Classifieds used to be given their own section, but that’s being eliminated. The exclamation mark after the announcement made the move seem positive, but we couldn’t help wondering if it had something to do with online advertising taking a bite out of print classifieds.
