If you’re in the market for a suburban townhouse, and you’ve got a healthy set of vocal cords, you might want to check out Sheldon Good & Company‘s auction of six townhouses in the Buckingham Point development, located in Des Plaines. The open outcry auction will be held Thursday, Dec 13 at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare, at 8535 W Higgins Rd in Chicago. Registration starts at 6 pm, and the auction starts at 7 pm.
The project’s Web site pegs opening bids at $225,000. That’s nearly $200,000 below the the original list prices, according to company chairman and CEO Steven L Good.
The townhomes, located off Touhy Avenue between Mannheim and River roads, have three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, full basements and two-car garages. The square footage ranges from 1,800 to 1,900, and features include stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors.
