Flying in from Dublin on Sunday night, straight over the lake and into O’Hare, a woman from Will County behind me was commenting on how close we were getting to the ground.
“I can see rooftops,” she said, “and cars.”
Later, she noticed some colored lights, and said to her friend, another Will County woman, “There are a lot of Christmas lights up already.”
The friend, who lives in Frankfort, said, “We must be passing over the tchotchke neighorhood of Chicago.”
