Construction workers spent most of this year trying to lay the foundation for Mesirow Financial Real Estate and The Enterprise Companies‘ Walton on the Park without disturbing the Red Line subway that runs below State Street. They’ve made their way above the green fence bordering Delaware Place and State and appear ready to pour the slab for the parking deck’s second story. Coldwell Banker agent Ralph Oliva said in August that Walton on the Park’s southern tower, located at 2 W Delaware Pl in River North, is on track to completion and delivery in the spring or summer of 2010.
Walton on the Park’s condos range from one-bedrooms starting in the $550s to three-bedrooms priced around $1.5 million. One 3,200 square-foot three-bedroom was also for sale for $2.8 million in August.
One block west, near the corner of Delaware and Dearborn Street, one of Mesirow and Enterprise’s three Mansions on the Park remains unsold. The 113-year-old George H. Taylor House, located at 919 N Dearborn St (at center in the picture below), is an 11,731 square-foot, seven-bedroom home priced at $4 million. The buyers of these three homes will have access to all of Walton on the Park’s amenities, such as a sun deck with swimming pool, an outdoor cooking station, a meditation garden, a fitness center and spa, and an on-site concierge, according to the Taylor House’s MLS listing.
